Silicone is flexible and very strong, so it cannot be broken and is very hard to tear up. It does not become dangerous when broken, as broken plastic or metal which may become dangerous for patients or caregivers.

Itinhaler® is autoclavable, it can be be heated to 200°C (392°F) in accordance with all standard protocols for hospital sterilization. Therefore, in hospitals, it can be used by many different patients.

At home Itinhaler can be cleaned in both dishwasher and washing machine and resists to micro-wave.
